This article will guide you through the steps to use LinkedIn to fill out your Hatch profile! Once filled, we recommend manually touching up the small details that have auto-populated. You can find more details on how to optimise your profile here.
Downloading your LinkedIn profile as a PDF
First, sign in to LinkedIn using a laptop or desktop (the LinkedIn mobile app does not support this feature).
Click the Me icon at the top-right of your LinkedIn homepage.
Click View profile.
Click the More button in the introduction section.
Select Save to PDF from the dropdown.
Note: You won't have the option to choose which sections will be included in saved versions of your profile.
Uploading your LinkedIn profile to Hatch
Navigate to Hatch and sign in.
Click on the "Your Profile" button in the top-right.
Scroll down to the "Resume" section and hit "Add". If you already have a resume uploaded, hit the pen icon to change your resume.
Upload your LinkedIn resume!
And it's as simple as that! When filling out the rest of your profile, clicking "Generate from resume" will let Hatch automatically scan your LinkedIn resume (or normal resume) and fill the fields with information! You can view more tips and tricks on optimizing your Hatch profile here.
