If you are hiring an intern but want someone else to handle the admin, Hire with Hatch is for you.
š How can Hatch take the hassle out of hiring?
Hatch can help take the hassle out of hiring by acting as the legal employer of a candidate and on-hiring them to you.
This means that:
You donāt have to do any employment admin! This includes setting up pay and superannuation, and providing legal advice and support.
Candidates do not count as full-time employees.
You can still be fully engaged and flexible with the candidateās contract.
After going through an easy onboarding process, your candidate simply has to log their hours worked each week and we will organise their pay. You will then approve their timesheets and be invoiced with their pay.
š§āš» Who can use Hire with Hatch?
Any Australian employer with a genuine work opportunity and the employment type is either; Intern, Contract, or Temporary, can use Hire with Hatch. It can be listed all year round, for any length of time, and flexible hours.
š I donāt have an intern role available yetā¦
Havenāt thought about hiring an intern before? We suggest you look at different parts of your company that can use an extra helping hand, including things like marketing, design, or reporting. The most important part is that you are giving early career professionals an opportunity to learn valuable skills and become exposed to the workforce.
š What if I have a flexible role?
No worries! See below some answers to our common questions.
Any hours your intern works are okay with us (including the weekend), as long as they have been approved by the hiring manager. Note that candidates are paid overtime rates for any hours outside of Monday to Friday 7am - 7pm.
You can also change the end date of the placement at any time from your Hatch account. We will remind you before the end of the candidateās contract to confirm the end date.
We can even increase your candidates' pay if you want to!
As always, reach out to us at ask@hatch.team if you want support in making a change to your role.
š§ What will I be responsible for?
As a Hiring Manager, you are responsible for:
