Overview

On Hatch, matches happen when both the job seeker and the employer think the match is a good fit. Either party can reach out and the other can accept or decline. When you both accept, your contact details are shared, and you can start chatting directly!

Receiving requests to match 💌

Employers might send you match requests if they think you’re a good fit! To increase your chances of being approached, ensure your profile is complete and visible.

  1. You’ll get a notification via email when an employer invites you to match.

  2. Take a look at the job details and decide if you want to accept or decline. Totally up to you! 💁‍♀️

Steps to take after matching 🚶

When both parties decide to match, we’ll notify you and keep track of the match details, including any messages exchanged.

  1. Get contact details: You’ll receive their phone number and email, and they’ll get yours. We’ll let them know you’ll be in touch, but they might reach out first.

  2. Keep the conversation going: Take it from here via email, phone, or your applicant tracking system. This is your chance to keep things moving and discuss the next steps.
