Our tips on how to showcase your team culture and resonate with Gen Z

Updated over a week ago

Your Hatch Company Profile - the place where you can give our community a real glimpse into your team’s vibe and culture. It’s where candidates come to learn and get insight into what working at a company is like before they go to submit an application.

This guide is here to help you make your profile the best it can be.

Add your content into the form below and we’ll build your company profile and share a staging link for your approval:

note: if you have trouble sharing images via google drive, sending via email is absolutely fine!

Mission:

Share your inspiring north star. The 1 liner statement on what your company is setting out to achieve.

A few examples:

Description:

Tell our community more about what your company does. What space do you operate in? Who makes up your team?

  • Keep this short(ish) and sweet. We recommend between 60 and 80 words.

Tips:

  • Avoid writing your description in 3rd person context - 1st person definitely resonates better and feels more authentic

  • Think about content you can include that really hook people into your employer brand and get excited about wanting to join your team - rather than general content about your company.

    • What problems are you solving

    • Any key company announcements and milestones (funding, active customers, team size)

Here are examples of what companies are sharing:

Key highlights:

These are optional but something our community love to see to get a high-level look at the size and recent progress of your company.

  • Early career talent (% of all staff)

  • Headcount growth (last 12 months)

  • Entry level hires (last 12 months)

  • Funding/Market Cap

Here's what this looks like on your profile when completed:

Team insights:

2 key points - approximately 40 words each that show off what really makes your team unique. These might include:

  • How you come together to work collaboratively

  • What a key value of your company is

  • If you split time between being in the office and remote - and what key rituals you have.

What we recommend avoiding:

  • Writing your key insights in 3rd person context

  • Making these too long in length that they don’t get read

  • Repeating a similar point twice - there’s limited space for words with a lot content that can be packed in!

note: it’s not possible to include additional points or add/remove any styling to these.

Here are examples of some we love:

Images and Video

Your company profile includes 3 images and 1 video.

  1. The cover image

  • Size: 1584 x 396

    • Can be taken directly from your Linkedin profile, or we recommend sharing an image that be cropped into this spec

2. The Grid image

Size: Ideally 4:3 image ratio and <1 mb

The first impression of your company! This photo gets shared when your company profile is shared, and also appears in our directory of companies.

  • The photo of your team doesn't need to be high production quality, the ones that resonate most are those that showcase teams where they work or hanging out.

  • Aim to include an authentic, positive image of a group of people

  • Avoid photos that may crop awkwardly or that include people looking away from the camera.

4. Team video

A short video of what it’s like to work at your company, and why someone would be interested in joining.

Examples:

If video is something that's missing from your employer brand assets - we can help create and share this for you.
